a)The substances which attracts water from its surroundings through, either absorption or adsorption.

b)It is the loss of water (or a solvent) of crystallization from a hydrated or solvated salt to the atmosphere on exposure to air.

Na2CO3.10H2O loses nine molecules of water of crytilization is known as efflorosence

c) It is a type of behavior in which when d salts are exposed to atmosphere they absorb moisture in large amounts.
