hey friend,

here is your answer,

Mastication or chewing is the process by which food is crushed and ground by teeth. It is the first step of digestion, and it increases the surface area of foods to allow a more efficient break down by enzymes.

Rumination is the focused attention on the symptoms of one's distress, and on its possible causes and consequences, as opposed to its solutions.

Hope helps you

ridariyas: it helped alot

rumination is the act of getting back swallowed food into the mouth from stomach and chewing it well now coming to mastication mastication is nothing but chewing the food while eating and swallowing it which doesn't generally come back to the mouth unless there is a vomit reflex
