In botany and horticulture, parthenocarpy(literally meaning "virgin fruit") is the natural or artificially induced production of fruit without fertilization of ovules, which makes the fruitseedless

Parthenocarpy, development of fruitwithout fertilization. The fruitresembles a normally produced fruitbut is seedless. Varieties of the pineapple, banana, cucumber, grape, orange, grapefruit, persimmon, and breadfruit exemplify naturally occurring parthenocarpy
for example watermelon..
