a) sharing=it is the process in which the fleece along with a thin layer of the skin is removed from the body of the animal. in many parts of the world sheep is sheared once a year. this is done in Early spring or early summer. this is also enables the animal to grow back its fleece by winter time. shearing is done with the help of machines. it is similar to shaving in human beings.it does not harm the sheep and is painless as the uppermost layer of the skin is made up of dead cells.

b) scouring=the sheared hairs is washed the thoroughly with the detergent to remove the impurities such as dirt,Grease,sand and dust. this process is called scouring. nowadays,this is done by a machine.

c) spinning=the process of drawing out fibres from a mass and twisting them together to form a continuous thread and yarn is called spinning.
