a) Essentially, sporulation refers to the formation of spores from vegetative cells during unfavorable environmental conditions. As such, it may be described as an adaptive response that allows the organism to survive given adverse conditions (radiation, extreme heat or cold, lack of nutrition etc).

b) Micropropagation is the practice of rapidly multiplying stock plant material to produce many progeny plants, using modern plant tissue culture methods.

Explanation:

(a)sporulation:Sporulation is the formation of nearly dormant forms of bacteria . In a limited number of bacteria, spores can preserve the genetic material of the bacteria when conditions are inhospitable and lethal for the normal (vegetative) form of the bacteria.

(b)micropropagation:Micropropagation refers to the in vitro multiplication and/or regeneration of plant material under aseptic and controlled environmental conditions to produce thousands or millions of plants for transfer to the field.
