Define a universal indicator. Mention its one use.

Universal indicator is an indicator which is widely and mostly used to detect acidic or basic property of a substance.

For example, litmus paper:
Blue litmus turns red in presence of acid and red litmus turns blue in presence of a base.

Methyl orange: Orange colour of it turns pink in presence of an acid and it turns yellow due to a base.

bro the substance which change there properly by any activity it is called indicatet
if you talk about acid and base indicater then litmus paper is a good example
ans if u tolk about electricity indicater the human body is a good example which can detect the current
and if you think about any other indicater it also has a sutable substane to detact it
so you can say that things that helps to detect other things it called it indicater.
