the absorption of digested food is take place in small intestine and large intestine.
small intestine have finger like structures called villi absorb all the nutrition.
large intestine absorbs the water for our body.

This process occurs either by the passive, active or facilitated transport mechanisms in the body. The small intestine is the organ where absorption occurs.
