Answer:

Acceleration can be defined as the rate of change of velocity with time. It can also be defined as the increase in velocity per second.

The S.I. unit of acceleration is meter per second square or ms−2.

  • Normally, we call acceleration a positive acceleration when the object moves in the positive direction(left to right) and the rate of change of velocity is positive(velocity is increasing).
  • When an object is speeding up, the acceleration is in the same direction as the velocity. Thus, this object also has a negative acceleration.

Answer:

acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity .

For a body moving in uniform motion has constant acceleration .

Explanation:

1) IF the acceleration of a body is increasing with time it is called positive acceleration

2) if it is decreasing then it is negative acceleration(retardation, deceleration, )
