Define acceleration. A bus starts from rest and attains 40 Km/h velocity after 10 seconds. Calculate the acceleration of the bus in (i) Km h-2 (ii) ms-2

Formula for Acceleration,

   • Acceleration = (v - u) / t

-------------------------

= (40 kmph - 0 kmph) / [10 s × (1 hr / 3600 s)]

= 1400 km/hr

---------------------------

∴ Acceleration is 1400 km/hr
