Hello Mate!
Acceleration refers to change of velocity in per unit time. Its defined into Uniform Accelerated Motion and Non - Uniform Accelerated Motion. Its SI unit is m/s^2 or ms^-2.
When body moves back or puts a back gare ot going back to the direction from where its started is called negative acceleartion or retardation or deacceleration.
The case when, a car stops put a break with velocity of 30 m/s and stops in 20s. Find its acceleration.
Solution:- a = ( v - u )/t
a = ( 0 - 30 ) / 20
a = - 1.5 m/s^2
Hope it helps☺!
