When an object is speeding up, the acceleration is in the same direction as the velocity. Thus, this object has a positive acceleration. In Example B, the object is moving in the negative direction (i.e., has a negative velocity) and is slowing down.

In physics, acceleration is the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time. An object's acceleration is the net result of all forces acting on the object, as described by Newton's Second Law. The SI unit for acceleration is metre per second squared

HERE IS UR ANSWER:- ⤵️♥️⤵️♥️

ACCELERATION:-

THE RATE OF CHANGE OF VELOCITY WITH RESPECT TO TIME.

WHEN AN OBJECT IS POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE :-

WHEN AN OBJECT IS SPEEDING UP IN THE SAME DIRECTION ( VELOCITY INCREASES) , THEN IT IS POSITIVE ACCELERATION.

WHEN AN OBJECT SLOWS DOWN( VELOCITY DECREASES) , THEN IT IS NEGATIVE ACCELERATION.
