acid rain in American. rain or otherprecipitation with a high concentration of acids produced by sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and other such gases that result from the combustion of fossil fuels: it has a destructive effect on plant and aquatic life, buildings, etc.

Rainfall made so acidic by atmospheric pollution that it causes environmental harm... in other words Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic.......basically the acid rain would have elevated level of hydrogen ions...because of the acid rain tajmahal is getting yellowish slowly slowly....
