there are many oxide like SO2 and NO2 by dissolving in water form sulphuric acid. Such acid alongwith water fall on the ground in the form of rain water, so called acid rain.
There are two main causes of acid rain:-
- Air pollution due to leakage of gases from factories.
- CO2, SO2 etc. excreted from automobile exhausts.
Effects of Acid Rain :-
- Damage of marble fitted houses /buildings.
- Destruction of micro-organisms in soil due to the effect of toxic gases.
