Active Transport

=> Active transport is a movement of substances across membrane with the utilization of energy (ATP).

=> For Example: Transportation of ions such as sodium or potassium.

It is two types -

1). Primary Active transport -

=>  If the process uses chemical energy, such as from adenosine triphosphate (ATP), it is termed primary active transport.

2). Secondary Active transport -

=> Secondary active transport involves the use of an electrochemical gradient.
