Define air-pollution? What are the effects of air-pollution?

Air pollution is nothing other than polluting of air which means air is much polluted by harmful gases like sulphur,carbondioxide.
When we breathe this harmful air our lungs will be affected resulting in breathing problems like asthma

The contamination of air by the addition of various harmful substances is basically termed as air pollution.

● Carbon monoxide is very poisonous gas . when it us inhaled in excessive amount , it combines with haemoglobin and form a compound called Carboxyhaemolglobin. As a result , the blood becomes less rich in oxygen and causes unconsciousness.

● Oxides of sulphur cause various respiratory disease.

● Oxides of nitrogen causes lung congestion or disease.

● Lead oxides can cause brain damage.

● It causes acid rain which affects the health of plants and animals and it also promotes corrosion of monuments.

● increase in green house gases which causes Global Warming .

● CFCs damage the ozone layer which are released from air conditioners and refrigerators.
