 Anupras alankar is alliteration in english – repitition of a sound several times in a sentence. 
Upama alankar – simile, drawing similarity between two things 
Yamak alankar – pun 
Shlesh alankar – the opposite of pun, two different words meaning the same thing 
Rupak alankar – saying that x is y. for eg. kelpha chaand hai (kelpha chaand jaisa hai would be upama) 
Atishayakti alankar: Exaggeration. 

Other Alankar – Vakropti. Utpreksha, Virodhabhas Artant Aranyas, Drishtant and Udaharan
