Answer:

  1. combination. :two Or more elements combine to form new products.eg-C+O2=CO2
  2. decomposition:one compound decomposes into two or more elements
  • thermal:FESO4(HEAT) =FE2O3+SO2+SO3
  • photo:2AgBr(sunlight) =2Ag+Br2
  • electric:2H2O(electricity) =2H2+O2

3.displacement:high reactive element displaces less reactive to form new products. eg:

CuSO4+Fe=FeSO4+Cu

4.double displacement: ions of each reactant interchange their position to form new products. eg:AgCl+NaNO3=AgNO3+NaCl

COMBINATION REACTION :

A chemical reaction in which two or more substances (reactants) combine to form a new substance (product) , is called combination reaction.

combination reaction are very useful in synthesising various chemicals for example :--

(i) combination of hydrogen and Oxygen gas yields water.

2H2(g) + O2(g) -------› 2H2O(g)

(ii) combination combination of nitrogen and hydrogen gas yields ammonia gas.

N2(g) + 3H2(g) --------› 2NH2(g)

Decomposition reaction :

A chemical reaction in which more than one product is obtained from a single reactant, is called as decomposition reaction.

For example ---»

(i) breakingbreaking up of water into hydrogen and Oxygen gas on passing an electric current is an example of decomposition reaction.

2H2O(l) ---When electric current is passed---›2H2(g) + O2

Displacement reaction:

A chemical reaction in which one element displaces another in a compound is called as displacement reaction.

The chemical equation for displacement reaction is given below as :

Fe (s) + CuSo4(aq) -----› FeSo4(aq) + Cu(s)

Neutralisation reaction :

A chemical reaction, between and acid and base is called as Neutralisation reaction. A Neutralisation reaction always leads to the form of a salt and water.

For example :

NaOH(aq) + Hcl(aq) -----› NaCl(aq) + H2O (l)
