Atmosphere :

 The blanket of air that surrounds the Earth is called Atmosphere .

 Atmosphere is divided into five layers – Troposphere , Stratosphere , mesosphere ,thermosphere and exosphere .

 The components of the atmosphere are useful to us in various ways.

Significance of the Atmosphere :

 Nitrogen is required to maintain the fertility of the soil and it is important for plants  

 Carbon dioxide helps plants to produce food in the presence of sunlight ,It also keeps the earth warm by absorbing the heat of radiation which comes out from the surface .

 Atmosphere contains oxygen which all living being in order to survive .

 Ozone protects us from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

 The water vapour in the atmosphere causes rain  

 The dust particles from the nucleus for condensation which results in the formation of clouds that causes rainfall and snowfall .
