any unit that includes all the organisms, interacting with their physical environment where the flow of energy occurs within the system, is called an Ecosystem.
For eg..
forest ecosystem, desert ecosystem, grassland ecosystem, pond ecosystem, lake ecosystem, etc. An ecosystem may thus be as small as a pond, a cropland, or as large as an ocean, desert or forest.Think of your home and all of the things in it. You likely have furniture, books, food in your refrigerator, family, and maybe even pets. Your home consists of a variety of living and non-living things.

Like your home, an ecosystem is any community of living and non-living things that work together. The living things are biotic features, and the non-living things are abiotic features.

All living things which are interdependent and interrelated to each other,together forms an ecosystem..best example are plants and animals,they are in toto dependent on each other..
