An alloy is a mixture of one or more metals on a desired metal. An alloy is prepared by heating it within the metal desired by a process of electroplating. It is advantageous as it provides hardness. Stainless Steel consist of nickel and chromium majorly and is preferred for iron to give resistance to rusting and to give a lustre property

Answer:

Alloy is a homogeneous mixture of two and more metals or a metal and a non metal. It is prepared by first melting the primary metal and then dissolving the other elements in definite proportions. Composition of stainless steel - nickel and chromium (Alnico). Advantages of making Alloy - have tensile strength , high melting point , good conductor of electricity . Steel is preferred over iron because - Steel is very soft and stretches easily so cannot be used to make equipments . Carbon is mixed with iron to form steel . Steel is hard and does not rust .
