Answer:

Terminal velocity is defined as the highestvelocity attained by an object that is falling through a fluid. It is observed when the sum of drag force and buoyancy is equal to the downward gravity force that is acting on the object. The acceleration of the object is zero as the net force acting on the object is zero.

Answer:

Terminal velocity is the maximum velocity attainable by an object as it falls through a fluid...

Derivation---

W=volume*density*g

=4/3πr3pg

Upward thrust due to buoyancy

Fr=V*d*g

=4/3πr3p1g

Let v is the terminal velocity of the body then according to Stoke law,upward viscous drag,

Fv=6πnrv

When body attains terminal velocity,then,

Fr + Fv=W

4/3πr3p1g +6πnrv=4/3πr3pg

6πnrv=4/3π(p-p1)g

v=2r2(p-p1)g/9n

Hope it helps you!!!
