Perishable are generally sold fresh, like fruits, vegetables, dairy products, etc. Semi-perishable would be fresh items that do not require refrigerating, but do eventually spoil or get stale like bread, cake, pies, pastries,etc. Non-perishable would be canned foods, dry items like beans, rice, pasta, etc.
