An irrigation well is very similar to a well drilled to provide water to a home, except the water is hooked up to a sprinkler system or faucet for use outside the home.

Well Irrigation:

  1. Well Irrigation defined as any well constructed for the purpose of obtaining ground water to supply irrigation water for agriculture, silviculture, golf courses, fish farms, and land beautification.
  2. But household use of water is excluded i.e. single-family irrigation of lawns or gardens.
  3. There are two types of well Irrigation - High flow and Low flow.
  4. Low flow systems can used to micro spray, drip emitters, or drip lines... etc
  5. High flow systems are used for fixed spray, rotor, impact, bubbler, and soaker hose...etc.
  6. Well Irrigation should be sufficient quantity of ground water because a tube well can generally irrigate
  7. The water level should be nearly 15 metres for well Irrigation.
