The two situations that causes electric hazards  are:

*short-circuit : the situation where live wire nd neutral wire come in contact with each other .this short circuit occurs and leads to fire and huge amount of current is passed through it

*overloading :  it causes due to when more amount of current is passed from a wire more than the requirement.it leads to over loading
