The stamens of a flower collectively called as Androecium. Stamens are usually referred to as the male reproductive part of the flower. Each stamen has two parts:
Anther: The anther is a small sac-like structure which holds the pollen and is the site of pollen development.
Filament: The filament is a thread stalk-like structure, which transmits water and nutrients to the anther and positions it to aid pollen dispersal.

ANDROECIUM - The number of stamens in different flowers may vary from a few to a large number. Each stamen consists of a long filament and anther attached to its extremity. The anther is usually two lobbed. Each lobe has to Pollen sacs. Within the Pollen sacs contains pollen grains. When fully gets matured the pollen grains lupture to liberate pollen grains. The pollen grains are generally powdery particles of different shapes and sizes.
