Define angle of deviation. why do different components of white light split up into spectrum when it passes through a triangular glass prism?

Explanation:

The component colours of white light have same speed in air but when they enter in prism there speed change (they have different speed in prism). Due to different speed they deviate or bend at different angles hence resulting in splitting of white light into seven colours.
