\large{\underline{\frak{Friction:-}}}

  • Friction is self adjusting force with increase of applied force initially friction increases and it gets the maximum value which is known as limiting friction beyond this will increase applied force the body comes in motion and this time the friction acting between surfaces is known as Dynamic kinetic friction . Dynamic friction is slightly less than limiting friction.

\large{\underline{\frak{Angle\:of\: Friction:-}}}

  • It is angle between resultant of reaction and friction with reaction.

→ R= Mg ......(1)

→ S cos∅= R ......(2)

→ S sin∅= f ......(3)

dividing (3) by (2)

→S sin∅/S cos∅= f/R

→f/R= tan∅

→ f/R = μ

f = μR

where:

  • f= friction
  • μ = tan∅ coefficient of friction
  • R= Reaction
