when light fall on a surface it get reflected by making an angle the angle from incidence ray to the normal is known as angle of incidence and angle from reflected ray to normal is known as angle of reflection.

Explanation:
The 'angle of incidence' and 'angle of reflection' are formed when a beam of light falls on a plane surface and a part of it is reflected back in the same medium.
- The 'angle of incidence' is formed by the 'beam of light' that falls at the 'point of incidence' and the plane. It is 'denoted' by the letter ‘I’
- The 'angle of reflection' is formed between the 'reflected ray' and normal point on the plane surface. It is denoted by the letter ‘r’.
As per the 'law of reflection', the 'angle of incidence' and the 'angle of reflection' are equal and the incident ray, 'reflected ray' and the normal at the 'point of incidence' lie in the 'same plane'.
