Angular acceleration is the rate of change of angular velocity. In three dimensions, it is a pseudovector. In SIunits, it is measured in radians per second squared (rad/s2), and is usually denoted by the Greek letter alpha (α).[1]

the angular velocity of a particle is the rate at which it rotates around a chosen center point: that is, the time rate of change of its angular displacement relative to the origin. It is measured in angle per unit time, radians per second in SI units, and is usually represented by the symbol omega (ω, sometimes Ω). By convention, positive angular velocity indicates counter-clockwise rotation, while negative is clockwise.

The time rate of change of angular displacement (Dq) is called angular velocity.
