Anthropogenic carbon dioxide is that portion of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that is produced directly by human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels, rather than by such processes as respiration and decay.

anthropogenic= anthrop-/anthropo- (means human being) + -genic (means producing from/generating from)

So, anthropogenic means produced by human being. Anthropogenic Actions are those which are caused or influenced by human activities.

It is usually used in ecology for denoting the adverse effects of pollution caused by human activities and interference.
