Asexual reproduction is the type of reproduction in which there is no fusion of gametes. it only involves one parent. this type of reproduction does not bring variation so the progeny is likely to die earlier.

there are many methods of asexual reproduction:

★ regeneration
★ budding
★ fission
★ spores
★ fragmentation

i have explained four of them :)

Regeneration:

regeneration is growing up of a tissue into a new organism that was cut from parents body. it is also defined as the growth of any body part which accidently got cut.
so, it is of two types:

★ morphallaxis type: in which a body part forms new individual. example- planaria.

★ epimorphosis type: in which a body part develops which accidently got cut. example- lizards and star fish.

as new organism is formed only in morphallaxis type of regeneration so we are always going to mention its name.

Budding:

in budding an outgrowth occurs on the body of an organism which gets detached afterwards and forms new individual. for example - hydra and yeast.

Fission:

it is of two types binary fission and multiple fission.
fission is a type of asexual reproduction in which the nucleus of a parents divides into one or many parts and the cytoplasm gets divided depending on the number of organisms formed.

binary fission- amoeba
multiple fission- plasmodium

Spores:

spores are tiny asexual bodies. a spore only develops into an individual when it gets in contact with suitable conditions such as moisture and warmth.

examples- bread mould (rhizopus)-----> spores are present in sporangium.

THIS TYPE OF REPRODUCTION REQUIRES ONLY ONE PARENT .
NO VARIATIONS WILL OCCUR BECAUSE OF NO FUSION OF GAMATES.

BUDDING IN YEAST.

REGENERATION IN PLANARIA
