The process of production of new individuals by a single parent is called asexual reproduction.
Two methods of asexual reproduction :
Budding : It is the type of asexual reproduction in which a small part of body of the parent organism detaches and matures. Then, it becomes a new organism. Hydra, yeast and many microbes reproduce by budding.
Regeneration : This is the type of asexual reproduction in which a body has ability regenerate from their fragments. If their body part is cut, they can regain and grow into new individual. Planaria and starfish reproduce by regeneration.

Some other methods of asexual reproduction :
- Binary fission
→ Ex : Amoeba reproduces by binary fission.
- Multiple Fission
→ Plasmodium reproduces by multiple fission.
- Fragmentation
→ Spirogyara reproduces by fragmentation.
- Vegetative propagation
