Answer :
Atmosphere :
The blanket of air that surrounds the Earth containing a number of constituent gases is known as Atmosphere . Earth's Atmosphere has various gases such as Nitrogen around 78% , Oxygen around 21% , Argon , Carbon Dioxide , Helium . Water vapours particulate matter in smaller quantity. Each of these components plays a role for existence and survival of life on earth . For Example :
- Nitrogen is the major component of protein .
- Oxygen is required by eukaryotic aerobic organisms for respiration that is to breakdown glucose and get the required energy for day-to-day work purposes .
- Carbon Dioxide is used by Green plants in the presence of sunlight to make glucose by the process of Photosynthesis . It is also used by Marine animals for making their shells .
Atmosphere is divided into different layers and the air in the atmosphere is a bad conductor of heat which controls the weather and the climatic conditions of a particular region along with various other factors .
