Atomicity of an element is the measurement of the number of atom existing in a molecule of that element.
For example, in an oxygen molecule two atoms ate present hence the atomicity of oxygen is 2.
Therefore atomicity can be defined by the simple formula, which is atomicity=molecular mass/atomic mass.
The atomicity of sulphur and iodine is 2 and 2, respectively.
