Heya Sheena here!

So as you know we human beings take in food through plants and animals, even these plants and animals require food.

Through the food which they consume plants are divided into two type namely

Autotrophs and heterotrophs.

Autotrophs>>>

Autotrophic plants are such plants which prepare their food themselves that is photosynthesis and they don't need to Depend on other organisms for food.

=> Green plants, algae are such type of plants which prepare food through photosynthesis.

Heterotrophs>>>

=> Heterotrophic plants are such type of plants who need to be dependent on other plants or animals.

=> There are many kinds of heterotrophic plants like insectivorous, parasites, symbiosis etc.

=> Insectivorous plants are plants who feed on insects, some plants need more food other than photosynthesis so they feed on insects.

=> Pitcher plant,Venusflytrap,Sundew are such plants.

=> Parasitic plants are such type of plants who live in another plant which is known as host.

=> They take the minerals of the host plant to themselves.

=> Cuscuta is an example of such plant.

=> Symbiosis are such plants who help each other.

=> Lichen (combination of an alga and a fungus) is such an example they help each other by giving required needs to each other.
