total distance traveled in total time time is called average speed of the object and
total distance traveled specific direction is divided by 2 gives average velocity.
if it helpful plzz mark as brainlist and follow me

Average speed-The average speed of an object is obtained by dividing the total distance travelled by total time taken.
i.e.average speed =total distance travelled/total time taken
Average velocity-when the velocity of an object changes at uniform rate the average velocity is givenby the arithmatic mean of initial velocity and final velocity of an object.
average velocity=initial velocity + final velocity/2.
