Answer:the no. 6.022*10^23 indicating the no of atoms or molecules in a mole of any substance is called avogadro number.  Avogadro no. is named after an italian scientist amedeo avogadro who proposed that  volume of a gas is proportional to the number of atoms or molecules regardless of the nature of the gas
