2. Diaphragm moves down

3. Chest cavity expands.

During exhalation :

1. Ribs muscles relax.

2. Diaphragm realx

inhalation means taking in oxygen(O2) inside our lungs.....
during inhalation the ribs move up and outwards and diaphragm moves down to increase the space inside our lungs to inhale more air....

Exhalation means releasing carbon dioxide from our lungs.....
during exhalation the ribs move down and inwards and diaphragm move up(back to it's original position)
