It should be binary fission not fusion....Binary fission is a kind of asexual reproduction. It is the most common form of reproduction in prokaryotes such as bacteria. It occurs in some single-celled Eukaryotes like Amoeba and Paramecium.

Budding is an asexual method of reproduction in which the bud develops from the parent plant as an outgrowth and when it matures it detaches from the parent plant and develops into a new organism... Example-Hydra
