Hi there…

Biocatalyst are basically the enzymes (mostly proteins) which alter the rate of any biochemical reactions resulting in appearances of new product or disappearance of substrate. Now a days, they are in great demands in developing biosensors for day to day analysis of general medical symptoms.

Hey mate!

I am here with your answer!

Biocatalysis refers to the use of living also called enzymes systems or their parts to speed up chemical reactions. In biocatalytic processes, natural catalysts, such as enzymes, perform chemical transformations on organic compounds.

Enzymes (Microbial cells or isolated enzymes), catalytic antibodies, non-enzymatic proteins (receptors/ion channels), biopolymers (eg. RNA). Biocatalysis is the use of natural catalysts, such as protein enzymes, to perform chemical transformations on organic compounds.

Hope this will help you!
