bit is the smallest storage location in computer memory which can store 1 or 0 . byte is collection of 8 BITs .it can store 1 character . 1 kB means 1024 bytes and 1 mb means 1024 kB . 1 GB means 1024 mb . 1 TB means 1024 GB
