the temperature at which a liquid boils and turns to vapour.

Changing liquid to gas. When a liquid—such as water—is heated at a constant pressure, some of its molecules get enough KE to escape the liquid. ... Thus, more heat energy is needed to cause other molecules to escape. This keeps the liquid at a temperature slightly below that of the boiling point.

hey there,

boiling point:- the temperature at which a substances changes its state from liquid state to vapour state is known as boiling point.

temperature remains constant during boiling of water because while boiling, the heat supplied to water is used up in the transformation of water into vapour and hence, the temperature remains constant.

hope it helps..
