define bulbils:-

A condensed auxiliary bud (vegetative) is called bulbil. It helps in vegetative reproduction. e.g., Dioscorea, Glabba, Agave, Oxalis. a small bulblike organ of vegetative reproduction growing in leaf axils or on flower stalks of plants such as the onion and tiger lily.

Definition of buds:-

A bud is a young, immature, underdeveloped, compact shoot. It is present on the stem and is majorly of two types-

(a) Terminal Bud- It is present at the tip of the stem, also called apical bud.

(b)  Axillary Bud- It is present at the axil i.e. angle between the leaves and the upper part of the stem.

Examples of buds are sunflower, potato, quince, etc

Definition of Bulbils:-

A bulbil, also called a secondary bud, is a bulb that grows in the angle between a leaf and a stem. When they are full-sized, they get detached from the plants to produce new plants.

Examples of plants in which bulbils are present: onion and lily
