here is ur answer......
byte :- abbreviation for Binary System a unit of storage capable of holding a single character .
an almost all the computers like 1 byte is equal to 8 bit
bit :- a bit is the smallest unit in a data in a computer.....

a group of binary digits or bits (usually eight) operated on as a unit.
