Define calorific value of a fuel. Though hydrogen has got highest calorific value but it is not used as a domestic fuel. Why?

The calorific value of a fuel refers to the heat energy produced by burning 1 kg of fuel.

Hydrogen is not used as a domestic fuel because it is truly very expensive and produces extraa heat energy than required for domestic use.
