The forest resources in India are depleting at a very fast rate and is shrinking , however i reasons to be taken in account are:
1. Urbanisation
> It is a big problem for the depletion of forest resources .People living in villages, towns ,small cities are leaving their area and shifting to urbanised modern cities in search of employment, shelter, good life due to which the pressure increases on cities and forest are cut.Due to this many forest are cut down to provide land to those people's which leads to defrostation
2.Agriculture
> According to a report 23 percent of forest land is converted into agricultural land from 1950 to 2017 because to meet the requirements of the people living in india. Also due to many wrong methods of agriculture like shifting agriculture in which a land is Burned after three four year of growing crop and then left barren and people who do this shifts to another land in which they even cut trees in forest area
3.Overpopulation
This is the root of all causes .Population of India according to census 2011 was 1.20 billion and is increasing too at at a bigger rate which might be more than China too .Population increase adversely affect all resources,For increasing population food is required, water is required and animals are gazed due to which forest are being cutat a bigger area .
Hope it worked:)
