Answer:

the cell cycle is the series of step or phase in the cell life after sphase come G2 where the cell make it s final proportion to divide . after g2 the action happen in mitosis of M phase where the cell divide in 2 . so cell division is only a part of whole cycle cell

All living cells grow and divide. Splitting of cells is called cell division. The period between the end of one division and the end of next termed as the cell cycle which is divided into four periods.

  • G1-phase it is the time 'gap' between the end of mitosis and the start of DNA synthesis phase in which chromosomes are fully extended and some protein and RNA are synthesised It can vary from 3-4hours to several days.

  • S-phase it is the DNA synthesis phase in which DNA and histones are synthesised. This stage lasts for 7-8hours.

  • G2-phase it is the time 'gap' between the end of DNA synthesis and the beginning of mitosis. This stage last for 2-5 hours.

  • M-phase it's duration is about an hour in the cell .
