Size of the cell

The size of a cell is living organism may be small as millionth of a metre ( micrometer or micron ) or may be as large as a few centimeter. Most of the cell are microscopic in size and are not visible to naked eyes. They requires microscopic. The smallest cell is 0.1 to 0.3 micrometre in the bacteria. The largest cell is 1 centimillimeter X 130m is egg of ostrich. The size of the cell has no relation with the size of the body of animal or plant. It is not necessary that the sale of an elephant will be much bigger than those in rat. The size of the cell is related to its functions.

Ex - Nerve cell both in elephant and rat are long and branch, perform the same functions.
