Explanation:

when a particle moves in cirlce around a fixed point , its linear acceleration is zero

but its direction changes at every point which led to the change in velocity of particle at everypoint , so the rate of change of velocity produces the angular acceleration called centripetal acceleration.

formula for centripetal acceleration at everypoint is v^2/R

where R is radius or distance of particle from centre!
