Define centripetal force with formula

Explanation:

Whenever an object moves in a circular motion, it has a velocity and changing acceleration, because of direction change at every point.

There arises 2 acceleration, one which is directed along the velocity called tangential acceleration  and the other which is directed towards the centre.

The one directed towards the centre is centripetal acceleration and force arising on the mass due to this acceleration is called Centripetal Acceleration.

If you are familiar with vectors topic, then the net acceleration of the system is the resultant of tangential acceleration and the centripetal acceleration

formula :

F = mv² / r

where v is velocity of the mass, r is the radius

Answer:

Explanation:

Centripetal force is the force acting on the partical performing circular motion ,along radius of circle and directed towards the centre of circle.

Example-. Earth moves around the sun .

Formula : mv^2/r

: mrw^2
